RestartUtah is the fastest and most effective way to make a year’s worth of new connections. The first half of each day is the Rotation, similar to speed-dating. You’ll have two minutes to talk with the person across from you before you move on to the next conversation. We’ve created a simple guide to help you prepare for the Rotation.
1. Have your elevator pitch ready.
It should be a short, interesting introduction to you and your company that gives an overview of who you are and what you do. There won’t be time for small talk, and your partner has to share their pitch as well, so keep it around 30-45 seconds.
2. Bring business cards to hand out. You may not have time for complete introductions, so this will help speed things along. People will want to hang on to it and meet up with you during Freestyle or connect after the event.
3. Bring swag to hand out at your booth. We highly encourage you to bring meaningful things your new relationships will enjoy. Don’t let anyone leave without something from your booth — that’s like ending a first date without getting a phone number!
4. Be yourself! If this is your first time, you’ll be stepping into the largest B2B networking event you’ve ever been to in Utah and you’re going to meet some amazing people, so relax and enjoy the experience.
